History:
Since 1998, Prototype-in-Service has been serving the University community in the transcriptions of assignments, books, reports and theses.
In 2015, the Editor personally experienced challenges with the competing demands of conducting time-consuming research and having to learn a new Manual of Style to write her own thesis, within a limited time, for submission by a stipulated deadline!
In 2016, after having recognized the need to provide accessible support and individualized attention to students who were having difficulty in writing up a thesis, the Editor expanded the operations of the service to include Editing and Formatting as well as free consultations to provide guidance to undergraduate students through a research process.
In 2023, there were companies’ expressions of interest for Transcription Services which are also included as a service offering on the basis of the Editor’s experience as a professional Recording Secretary since 2007.
ProtoTyping, Editing & Transcription Services is client-focused and with certification of an MA in Human Communication Studies (2016), the Editor is qualified and proficient to serve.
